We have just come back from a trip to Georgia and Armenia, including a trek from Tusheti to Khevruseti over the Atsunta ridge in the Georgian Caucasus.

The featured image shows the old defense towers of Omalo in Tusheti (our start point) seen from northwest and the main Caucasus ridge behind just after a prolonged heavy rain. The pictures below are selected impressions from the trek and its surprise ending in Shatili with a helicopter flight to a place near Tbilisi.
